Maintaining your garage doors, doesn’t just mean oiling the hinges once a year. There’s so much more to think about, especially if you want to prevent injuries and potential property damage.

Make sure to inspect all the hardware and parts of the garage-door, from the springs to the cables. Look for any signs of wear/broken parts in the parts. If you do find any signs, make sure you repair before the door is used.

Of course the moving parts of your garage door require lubrication. If you have a combination hinge and roller, then apply lubricant to the roller and hinge to which the roller’s attached. Make sure to use it sparingly as too much lubricant will attract dirt.
